In the Law of the Pack, a cub scout gives good will. By participating in the Scouting for Food program, scouts come a step closer to fulfilling those words. Across the country, in many councils and districts, thousands of packs with millions of scouts involved collect tens of millions of pounds of food which is distributed to needy neighbors.
Collection Bag Distribution: Thursday in April (details will be announced at a later date, as this event is weather dependent). We will meet to distribute door hangers to ask for food donations for the annual Scouting for Food campaign-- to collect food for a local food shelf. NOTE: Scouts just leave the bags--no door ringing involved.
Collect Bags Pickup: Saturday in April (two days after distributing bags). After bags are collected, we will take the food to the Cross food shelf in Rogers.
Both days are very important, so please try to make yourselves and your scouts available to assist. There are many people in need, and we can help!
This activity is being organized by the Wolf Den.
